I've had my eye on Elizabeth for some time and I'm really not sure why I waited so long to get this beautiful stamp. I love the soft filigree and elegant aspect of this single stamp and had all kinds of ideas for how I might use the stamp for cards and scrapbook pages. So earlier this month when I was placing an order to replenish some supplies [and take advantage of an opportunity to pre-order a stamp set and Designer Series Paper from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog--it's GOOD to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!] I added Elizabeth to my order as one of my Sale-A-Bration FREE items.
Right after I received my order from my good friend Mr. Brown, I realized that I needed to make a large stack of Thank You cards for all the folks that had placed orders in late February and early March. Hello, Elizabeth!

Isn't this card pretty? I just love the combination of Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, and Soft Suede.
Elizabeth was stamped on the Blushing Bride card base using Regal Rose ink. The edges of the card front were sponged with Soft Suede ink. Along the left side of the card front rests a strip of Soft Suede cardstock with the inside edge punched with the Eyelet Border punch and the edges sponged with Soft Suede ink. On top of the Soft Suede cardstock is a strip of First Edition Designer Series Paper that was distressed by: (1) stamping the top filigree edge of the Elizabeth stamp randomly over the paper with Regal Rose and Pear Pizzazz inks; (2) crumpling the paper and flattening it somewhat, then lightly brushing the Soft Suede ink pad over the top of the paper, (3) roughing up the edges fo the paper with the edge distressing tool in the Cutter Kit, and (4) sponging all the edges of the paper with Soft Suede ink. Next a piece of Blushing Bride 1/2" Polytwill ribbon was grunged up a bit by swiping the Soft Suede sponge across the top of the ribbon before placing it at the vertical center of the paper with the ends folded to the back of the Soft Suede cardstock. Then the Soft Suede cardstock was adhered to the card front with the left edge of the Soft Suede cardstock approximately 1/8" from the fold. About one third of the way down from the top of the ribbon I added a knot of Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim.
On top of Elizabeth, I place a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock punched with the Scallop Oval punch and the edges sponged with Soft Suede ink. Adhered to the center of the Pear Pizzazz oval is a piece of Soft Suede cardstock punched with the 1 3/4" x 7/8" oval punch and the edges sponged with Soft Suede ink. Next is a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock; the "for you" image from the All Holidays stamp set stamped with Regal Rose ink and then punched out with the 1 3/8" x 5/8" oval punch and the edges sponged with Soft Suede ink. A small flower of Pear Pizzazz was punched using the scallop circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and the edges sponged with Soft Suede ink and then adhered to the upper left side of the Very Vanilla oval with a Mini Glue Dot. A 3 mm (or 5 mm I can't remember which) Basic Pearl was placed at the center of the Pear Pizzazz scallop circle. The Very Vanilla oval was adhered to the Soft Suede oval with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment area of the card was lined with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock that was stamped around the edges with the top filigree area of the Elizabeth stamp using Blushing Bride ink. Then the edges of the cardstock were sponged with Soft Suede ink before adhering the cardstock to the inside of the card.

Elizabeth was stamped one final time with Blushing Bride ink at the lower left front corner of the Medium Very Vanilla envelope. The "for you" image was stamped at the center of the open oval with Pear Pizzazz ink. You'll note that the entire Elizabeth stamp image is not visible on the front of the envelope to ensure that enough space remains on the front of the envelope to write an address should this card be mailed. Speaking of mailing, this card would be one of those that required hand cancelling by the Post Office because of the ribbon knot and the Basic Pearl; which means that extra postage is required. But with a card this pretty, spending the extra 20 cents really isn't a problem.
