Hello!
Happy Monday! Trying to get myself together after a busy weekend. I hope you enjoyed the Stampin' Addicts New Catalog Blog Hop and found loads of inspiration from all the great projects featuring so many of the new items from the Stampin' Up! 2012-2012 Idea Book and Catalog. You can still see all these great projects by clicking here.
As promised, I'll be devoting my next four blog posts to providing more information about making the projects from the Blog Hop featuring the Layered Labels stamp set. I'll begin with the Thank You card. This card was designed for the SASS Stamp Club members to thank them for their June orders and, more importantly, for supporting the SASS Stamp Club during the 2011-2012 cycle.

This card is a CASE of a card I made last year. (You can see that card by clicking here.) We begin with a card base of Midnight Muse. A piece of Midnight Muse cardstock was stamped with the floral silhouette image from the My Friend stamp set using Midnight Muse ink, embossed in the Big Shot with the Stripes Textured Impressions embossing folder, and the edges of the cardstock sponged with Midnight Muse ink. A piece of Summer Starfruit cardstock was also embossed in the Big Shot with the Stripes Textured Impressions embossing folder and the edges sponged with Summer Starfruit ink. I also brushed the sponge across the embossed stripes to bring them into higher relief. The embossed pieces of cardstock were placed on a mat of Gumball Green cardstock. A piece of Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon was wrapped around the panel to cover the area where the embossed Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit cardstocks meet and knotted on the front. A Mini Glue Dot was placed under the ribbon knot to stabilize the ribbon. The panel was then adhered to the Midnight Muse card front.
The "Create" image from the Layered Labels stamp set was inked with Midnight Muse ink, stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, and die cut in the Big Shot using the corresponding Apothecary Accents Framelits. The die cut image was adhered at the center of the embossed Summer Starfruit panel. The "Create" image was cleaned and stamped a second time on Whisper White cardstock using Gumball Green ink. The center circle area of the image was punched out using the 1" circle punch and adhered over the center of the Midnight Muse image using Stampin' Dimensionals. The "thanks {so much}" image from the Tiny Tags stamp set was stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Midnight Muse ink, die cut in the Big Shot using the smallest of the Bitty Banner Framelits, and adhered over the Gumball Green "Create" using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The inside sentiment area of the card was lined with a piece of Whisper White cardstock (the edges sponged with Summer Starfruit ink) matted with a piece of Gumball Green cardstock. The floral silhouette image from the My Friend stamp set was inked with Summer Starfruit ink and stamped at the lower left corner of the liner.

The floral silhouette image from the My Friend stamp set was inked with Summer Starfruit ink one more time, stamped on a scrap piece of paper, and then stamped again at the lower left front corner of the Medium Whisper White Envelope (a technique called "stamping off"). The "thanks {so much}" image from the Tiny Tags stamp set was stamped over the floral silhouette using Midnight Muse ink.
It's always bittersweet when a stamp club cycle ends because you've had a chance to get to know some pretty great people and you know you'll miss seeing them on a regular basis. Sign ups are underway for the 2012-2013 cycle of the SASS Stamp Club and I'm excited that all of the 2011-2012 members are returning for another year. I can't wait to get started in August! If you live in East Central Florida and would like to stamp with a great group of people, be sure to contact me to reserve your spot. I'd love to create with you!

Love this card. Especially how you layered a different greeting over the "create". Pinned it. :)
