It's a gloomy afternoon. I don't want to complain because we need the rain so very badly. Just hoping that the storms don't become severe.
I realize the posts lately have been few and far between; however, the taxes are mailed, the bulk of the Doctor appointments for Mom are complete for the month, and I can finally find some time to play with the inks and paper!
While I'm playing, I'd like to share the Mother's Day project I prepared for the April Meeting of the SASS Stamp Club. Of course, if you don't need a gift for Mother's Day, this project (or any part of it) would certainly work for Administrative Professionals Day, a birthday gift for a treasured friend, or Just Because.
This box holds three greeting cards & envelopes and the adorable purse will hold small pieces of jewelry or trinkets, the ever popular chocolate nuggets, or M&Ms. Here are the greeting cards inside the box:
These projects feature the fun and bright colors you'll find in the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper. This paper, the Bright Blossoms stamp set, and the Petite Purse Bigz L die are only available for the month of April as a Sneak Peek from the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog. After this month, you won't see them again until the new catalog debuts on June 1st. You can find out more about the Summer Smooches Sneak Peek promotion by clicking on the second icon under the Promotions list on the left sidebar of this blog page.
In addition, the Mouthwatering and Mixed Bunch stamp sets, the Blossom Punch, and the Cherry and Melon Scented Stampin' Emboss powders (used for the watermelon and popsicle) are exclusive to the Occasions Mini Catalog which ends on April 30th. Stampin' Up! hasn't announced whether the stamp sets, punch, and scented embossing powders will carry over to the new catalog; however, if they do, you won't be able to order them (after April 30th) until June 1st. You can see all the items in the Occasions Mini Catalog by clicking on the first icon under the Catalogs list about half way down the left sidebar of this blog page.
AND, the "you're a gem" sentiment, from the You're a Gem stamp set and the butterfly body, from the Butterfly Prints stamp set, are on the Retiring Stamp Set List and will be gone forever on May 31st. You can see the Retired Stamp Set list by clicking on the first icon under the Promotions list on the left sidebar of this blog page. Stampin' Up! is really cleaning house this time and there are LOTS of stamps on the retiring list to accommodate the new catalog format. Holy Cow! So be sure to compare the Retiring Stamp Set List with your Wish List to make sure you don't miss purchasing your favorites.
I'll be sharing the specifics for each of the items in this project during the week next week. I'll hope you'll stop by for more information (including a look at the insides of the cards and envelopes).
