Botanicals For You -- A Tropical Note Card

Stampin' Addicts Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop -- Botanicals For You

Happy New Year!  Wishing you a wonderful 2016 full of fun surprises and meaningful accomplishments!

SABHeader

A great way to begin 2016 is with a Blog Hop and the Stampin' Addicts are getting together to introduce you to the product line up for this year's Sale-A-Bration from Stampin' Up!  Sale-A-Bration begins on January 5th and I think you'll be VERY pleased with the items that you can select with each $50 in merchandise (US) you purchase from Stampin' Up!  You can find the entire Blog Hop line up at the Stampin' Addicts Forum or just click on the Previous or Next buttons below when you are ready to move to the next stop on the Hop.  The good news is that all the stops are linked in a circle so you'll eventually end up where you started.  This is the first stop of the Hop, but you if you started with another Blog Hostess and you are moving forward, you have arrived from Tanya's Tinkerin' in Ink blog featuring the Hello stamp set.  I just love Tanya's work!  However, if you are moving backwards through the Hop, then you have arrived from Krystal's Cards and More where she is featuring the What I Love stamp set.  I just love those beautiful flowers!

I'll be showcasing the Botanicals For You stamp set with the coordinating Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack.  The really cool thing about these two products is that they were designed to coordinate with the Botanical Blooms Bundle available with the release of the Occasions Catalog.  If this bundle is on your Occasions Catalog Wish List, you may be interested to know that purchasing the bundle will automatically qualify you for one of the two Sale-A-Bration coordinating products.  How cool is that??!!

These Botanicals products really evoke a tropical theme for me and reminded me of my brother's wedding in Hawaii.  He and Paula married on the beach with all the beautiful colors of the lush vegetation surrounding them.  So my first project is a wedding card that tucks into a Mini Treat Bag.

The treat bag uses the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits with the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper.  The card and the tag on the treat bag feature the three flowers and two leaf images from the Botanicals For You stamp set.  The Just For You image on the card front was heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss powder on a Mossy Meadow card base.  The border image on the card front comes from the Botanical Blooms stamp set.

My second project is a fun note card that showcases how the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack coordinates with the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper.

I selected the vellum that matched the paper and placed the vellum over the paper.  Another very cool thing that you'll see on this card is that the Botanical Blooms stamp set and the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper were designed to work together.  This means that some of the floral and leaf images on the Designer Series Paper were left empty so that they could be filled in (stamped) with the images from the Botanical Blooms stamp set.  How fun is that???!!!

The final project is a treat box.  Because who doesn't love to receive a treat; especially if it includes chocolate!

Nugget_Box

I learned to make this treat box with my upline in December and had so much fun with it that I had to make one for this blog hop.  The focal point of this project uses only the "just" and a "because" from one of the sentiment lines.  The top flap opens to reveal a gift card tucked into a pocket featuring the Curvy Corner Trio Punch.  A drawer opens to reveal some wrapped Hershey's Nuggets.

I hope you found some stamping inspiration using the Botanicals For You stamp set and Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack along with the Botanical Blooms Bundle.  I'll be back next week with all the details for making each of these projects, so be sure to stop by to visit!

If you are moving forward on the Hop, the next stop is Krystal's Cards and More where you'll find some really beautiful ideas for using the What I Love stamp set.

SABNext

If you are going backwards through the Hop, then your next stop is Tinkerin' in Ink with Tanya where she provides fun inspiration for using the Hello stamp set.
